Carter Kaminski –
Product serves its purpose but lacks practical thinking during the design phase. The wheel sits too low on the frame, making longer cable runs to a manhole off the road dig into and score the aluminum framing. This problem might be unique since I run a Subsite system, and they use a stainless steel double braided cable.
Another issues I came across was the 4 tack welded holder bolts. They are there to “tighten” the manhole roller to the manhole to prevent shifting. Not only is it a pain to tighten them through the lattice of the cover, but the tack welds also broke within a few weeks of ownership.
These issues could be easily remedied by raising the roller above the framing and reinforcing the lattice to allow an opening for the bolts to be tightened along with a stronger weld, instead of 2 tack welds per bolt holder.

Appreciate you taking the time to share this. Real world feedback like this is how we continue to improve.
This roller is primarily designed for setups where the manhole is more or less in line with the truck. When you get into longer pulls or off angle access like easements it can introduce challenges that are not always avoidable in the field. We understand that is part of the job and equipment needs to perform across a wide range of conditions.
Your feedback on the overall design and usability is well taken. We are reviewing this with our manufacturer as part of our ongoing effort to refine and improve the product.
If you are open to it feel free to reach out to me directly. I would be happy to help get you dialed in for your setup.
Thanks again for the input. Tom- 407-900-1091
